FAQs
Is Chest Expansion on the Cadillac suitable for beginners?
Yes. The kneeling position and spring tension make it a welcoming beginner exercise. It shares its intent with the reformer chest expansion but uses the Cadillac tower springs.
What muscles does Chest Expansion work?
The posterior shoulder and scapular muscles work on the press back. The upper back and core engage to keep the trunk tall and the pelvis neutral throughout.
What is Chest Expansion good for?
It is particularly good for counteracting desk-related shoulder rounding. The press-back pattern strengthens scapular retractors and opens the chest, supporting better posture.
How does Cadillac Chest Expansion compare to the reformer version?
Both exercises share the same chest-opening intent and kneeling position, but the Cadillac version uses arm springs from the tower rather than carriage-based straps, creating a slightly different spring angle and tension.
