Hundred variation with the feet on a studio wall for leg support and controlled abdominal endurance.

Setup instructions

Lie supine on the mat with the hips close enough to the wall to place both feet flat on it. Lift the knees to tabletop or extend the legs to a comfortable angle with feet on the wall. Curl the head and shoulders off the mat with the arms long by the sides. Engage the core to keep the low back supported before beginning the pumps.

Breathing cues

Inhale for five pumps. Exhale for five pumps.

Movement steps

Common mistakes

Extending the legs lower than trunk control allows; pressing unevenly into the wall; straining the neck; letting the ribs flare; rushing the breath rhythm.

FAQs

  • Is Wall Hundred suitable for beginners?

It is best treated as an intermediate progression. Master wall hundred prep first and extend the legs only when pelvic control stays clear.

  • What muscles does Wall Hundred work?

The deep abdominals drive sustained endurance while the hip flexors stabilise the legs on the wall and the shoulders maintain the arm pumping pattern.

  • What is Wall Hundred good for?
