Breathing cues

Exhale to press. Inhale to return.

Movement steps

  1. 1Inhale to prepare with the elbows bent.
  2. 2Exhale to press the hands downward, extending the elbows against band tension.
  3. 3Keep the upper arms steady beside the body.
  4. 4Inhale to bend the elbows and return with control.
  5. 5Repeat with even tempo and upright trunk position.

Common mistakes

Letting the elbows drift away from the body; leaning forward for momentum; using excessive band tension; hiking the shoulders; holding the breath.

Safety notes

Choose a band that allows smooth extension. Stop if elbow or shoulder discomfort appears.
