Setup instructions
Lie supine on the mat with the hips close enough to the wall to place both feet flat on it. Extend the legs to a comfortable angle on the wall with feet hip-width apart. Rest the arms by the sides with palms down. Engage the core to keep the low back supported on the mat.

Movement steps
- 1Inhale to prepare in the start position.
- 2Exhale to rotate the legs together to one side in a controlled arc.
- 3Keep the shoulders anchored and the rotation organised through the pelvis.
- 4Inhale to return the legs to centre.
- 5Exhale to rotate to the opposite side with smooth, even tempo.
Common mistakes
Rotating beyond trunk control; letting the shoulders lift off the mat; forcing the legs lower than control allows; holding the breath; attempting before wall scissors and bicycle are solid.
Safety notes
Keep the rotation range modest at first. Stop if sharp back pinching or hip discomfort appears.
